Redesigning to Communicate Culture, Mission, and Services

The previous website lacked clarity in communicating CrossComm’s unique attributes, making it challenging for visitors to grasp the company’s culture, mission, and service offerings. To address this challenge, I wanted to focus on enhancing messaging through color psychology, customer-centric copy, humanizing the team, emphasizing experience, and highlighting key industries we worked in. By using a well-defined color palette, we created an emotional connection with visitors. The content was tailored to address client needs and establish trust. Furthermore, we showcased the team’s expertise and emphasized CrossComm’s commitment to collaboration and long-standing experience.

Enhancing User Experience through Intuitive Design

The previous website’s user experience had navigation challenges— it was sometimes difficult to find relevant content quickly and efficiently. To enhance user experience, we focused on improving website navigation, revamping the portfolio and resources pages, formalizing the portfolio structure, incorporating featured sections, and ensuring a pleasing mobile experience.

We introduced a sticky navigation bar that remained visible as users scrolled, making it easier to navigate the site. The revamped portfolio and resources pages allowed for better, quicker content discovery. By featuring specific content and projects, we helped guide users to the information they might find most useful. Additionally, we optimized the website for mobile devices to ensure a smooth seamless and intuitive experience across different devices.

Upon a potential client visiting our website, it was important for us to immediately demonstrate our value. These changes fostered a more pleasing user experience that helped users effortlessly gain a comprehensive understanding of CrossComm’s expertise and capabilities.

Unleashing Creativity with an Interactive Hero Section

After launching the new website, we decided to revisit the hero section of the homepage. We wanted to showcase CrossComm’s creativity and technological capabilities, particularly in the field of 3D experiences. We decided that adding a dynamic element to the homepage would captivate and engage visitors. Collaborating with developers, UX designers, and a 3D artist, I led brainstorming sessions to explore ideas and ensure a seamless integration of technology and design.

We conceptualized and implemented an interactive hero section that allowed users to interact with floating circles representing CrossComm’s core values. Each circle triggered a 3D animation representing a visual metaphor related to that value. The aim was to create a captivating and memorable experience that showcased CrossComm’s innovation and creativity, while also communicating our core values and expertise.

The website redesign and the implementation of the interactive hero section transformed CrossComm’s online presence. Through strategic messaging, intuitive design, and immersive experiences, the website effectively communicated the company’s culture, mission, and services, while showcasing its creative and technological prowess. The outcome was an engaging and user-friendly platform that successfully attracted and captivated visitors, positioning CrossComm as a trusted and innovative partner in the digital landscape.
